Emerging talent:
Gabriel Noderer, Junior at European Junior Cup

HOW DID YOU BECOME A PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLISTS?

I actually started racing relatively late. First, ages 11 I participated in an introductory course set up by ADAC Nordbayern [northern Bavaria]. This was a birthday gift from my parents. In the following year, aged 12, I contested my first season in the ADAC Mini Bike Cup. Since I performed exceptionally well in the second year, we progressed to the ADAC Junior Cup. 2013, I fought for the title and by the end of the season, I ranked third place in the championship. Since I was quite tall, we decided that I would switch to a higher class. After two good years, in which I was able to gather a lot of experience with the high-capacity machines, we will now be starting in the junior series of the FIM Superbike Championship. We see the biggest challenge in the European Junior Cup.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE YOURSELF?

Prior to racing, I focus on the task ahead with all its special circumstances as well as possible. Therefore, prior to each race, I listen to motivating music so that nothing can distract my concentration.

SCHUBERTH is characterised by is extremely good fit and aerodynamics.

WHAT DEMANDS TO YOU HAVE ON YOUR EQUIPMENT?

What is important with regard to my equipment is that I feel comfortable and that it will still protect me in the best possible way, if I do fall. The quality of the equipment is very important. When it comes to my motorbike, I rely on my mechanics, who ensure that I will be able to contest the race without any technical problems. Over the last few years, we have developed a very good relationship of trust.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD HELMET?

A good helmet is the most important aspect of a driver’s overall equipment because it enables him to see the route. A good fit, ideal weight, field of vision, aerodynamics and ventilation characterise a good helmet.

WHY DO YOU TRUST IN SCHUBERTH?

WHAT ARE YOUR PERSONAL GOALS FOR THIS SEASON?

This year, it is important for me to get to know all SBK race tracks as quickly as possible and to drive as fast as possible with the new motorbike. In doing so, I hope I can collect as many points as possible.

DO YOU HAVE ANY GOOD ADVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO DRIVE FAST?

Note to all those that want to drive fast on a motorbike: pay attention to the correct equipment. Make sure that your motorbike is in a perfect condition and slowly try to come to grips with the limit.
