Riders of touring enduros and adventure bikes in particular have been waiting impatiently for the SCHUBERTH E1 since it was unveiled at the EICMA 2015 in Milan. And it's now on sale at your specialist dealer just in time for the start of the season – a helmet that unites the functionality and safety of a modern flip-up design with the look, feel and off-road capability of an adventure helmet.
The new E1 not only looks like it was built for adventure, it has everything a helmet needs for use off the beaten track too – from the large, multi-position shield to optimal air flow for arduous off-road use. Because the adventure only really begins when the tarmac runs out. And even though it may not look like it when the helmet is closed, the chin piece of the E1 can be swivelled up complete with visor and shield. A proper adventure helmet that is also a proper flip-up helmet – and better still: a genuine SCHUBERTH flip-up helmet. Because safety and flexibility don't stand in the way of adventure. The E1 was developed in SCHUBERTH's in-house wind tunnel to ensure it features low wind resistance, thus allowing for high speeds on the motorway, and a slippery shape making it a very quiet helmet too. Because adventure has nothing to do with strained neck muscles and battered eardrums.
SCHUBERTH has succeeded in making the modern flip-up helmet fit for adventure. The E1 comes in seven sizes, from XS to XXXL. It is available in five solid colours (matt black, matt anthracite, glossy black, glossy white and glossy silver) for 649 euros (RRP), and in attractive Hunter décor (yellow, blue and red) and Guardian décor (yellow and red) for 729 euros.
