The testers of MOTORRAD magazine and TÜV Rheinland subjected 16 different flip-up helmets to a comprehensive battery of strenuous tests. The Schuberth C3 Pro confirmed its reputation as a test winner.
Schuberth has been a global leader in motorcycling helmets for years and is held to be the pioneer of flip-up helmets. So you should expect that no group test would pose a great challenge for the Schuberth C3 Pro, one of the most compact, lightest and best designed flip-up helmets on the market. But there is a lot of competition. Therefore, the results of the annual helmet test of Europe’s biggest motorcycle magazine, dedicated to flip-up helmets in 2015, were eagerly anticipated in Magdeburg, where all Schuberth helmets are developed and manufactured.
Only some two weeks after the readers of MOTORRAD had voted Schuberth the “Best Brand” in the helmet category for the tenth time running, the 7-2015 issue of MOTORRAD finally arrived, relieving the palpable tension. On the very day of the calendrical beginning of spring, the Schuberth C3 Pro was awarded a “very good” rating and declared the winner of the group test. Testers especially liked its comfort, aerodynamics, acoustics, equipment and how easy it is to wear glasses under a C3 Pro, as well as operate its standard integrated sun visor. The impact damping of the Schuberth flip-up helmet, measured in the laboratories of the TÜV Rheinland, was rated excellent as well. Small wonder therefore that the C3 Pro missed the maximum score only by a singe point in five of eight categories, receiving not a single weak result in any category and winning the test with 88 out of 100 points.
Jan-Christian Becker, CEO of the Schuberth Group, is excited about these results: “We are very happy with this victory. To my mind though, the best thing is the confirmation that no buyer of a Schuberth C3 Pro will ever come to regret his decision. In the end, everybody benefits from a top quality product.
