Filip Backlund is one of the most promising up-and-coming Scandinavian talents. In 2003 and 2004 he won both the Swedish 125ccm championship and the 250ccm championship, the youngest rider ever to do so. Since 2010 he has been earning his spurs in the IDM series, wearing the SR1 since 2011.
