Schuberth GmbH has specialised in producing head protection systems for over 70 years. Even in the company's early days greatest attention was paid to producing particularly high-quality products. The strict quality-oriented approach was and still is a permanent feature of the corporate philosophy and since the late 70s has resulted in Schuberth specialising exclusively in the development of premium head protection technology.
Today the helmet manufacturer from Magdeburg develops and produces premium helmets in the motorcycle, fire fighting, police and military sectors. Schuberth also develops and produces carbon helmets for Formula 1 and is the exclusive development partner of the Scuderia Ferrari. In addition to the record seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher who has put his trust in Schuberth for many years, in the 2011 season Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso and Nico Rosberg are also wearing Schuberth helmets. Further internationally renowned drivers and talented young stars represent Schuberth as brand ambassadors in the DTM, GP2, Formula 3 and other young-talent series.
Schuberth products from all segments stand for maximum safety and optimum wear comfort. Furthermore, for decades Schuberth has repeatedly stood out from the competition on account of the company's ingenuity. As the only helmet manufacturer in the world with its own wind and acoustic tunnels Schuberth offers fully developed motorcycle helmets which deserve to be talked about in the superlative. For example, the smallest, lightest and quietist flip-up helmet in the world is produced by Schuberth. The first fully integrated Bluetooth-based communication system was a real show-stopper when it was introduced in 2010. In 2011 Schuberth introduced the SR 1, the first genuine racing helmet for motorcycle sport, opening up a market niche for itself in the process.
Recent company history is dominated by a massive expansion on the world market. Today Schuberth helmets are exported to 55 countries, and since 2010 the USA has also been supplied through a Schuberth subsidiary there. The strengthening of the company's international presence and the increasing of market shares will also determine the company's approach in the coming years. The success outside Germany is guaranteed by the clear commitment to the German location. "Made in Germany" is the core message for all business segments and prepares the ground for the safety products outside Germany.
